Thuwal, Saudi Arabia The Student Counseling Services (SCS) at KAUST has expanded its scope of services to ensure comprehensive psychological support for graduate students, their spouses, and the wider campus community. SCS now offers a range of free, confidential services, including individual and marital counseling, psychological assessments, crisis support, and educational workshops.

A key focus of SCS is maintaining strict confidentiality. “Protecting the privacy of our clients is at the heart of what we do,” said an SCS psychologist. “All consultations and records are handled with the utmost discretion, following professional codes of ethics.”

Faculty and staff can also consult with SCS to learn how to better support students’ mental health needs. In addition, anyone concerned about a student’s well-being can refer them directly to SCS for timely intervention.
