Student Activities at KAUST

Student activities at KAUST offer a vibrant mix of on-campus events and off-campus adventures designed to build community, explore new interests, and create memorable student experiences. These activities are coordinated by the Student Life Office and led in partnership with the executive members of the Student Programming Board (SPB).

On-campus activities

Each academic semester, students can join a variety of campus events, including the Start of Semester Beach Party, Make & Take craft sessions, Flower Arrangement Workshops, and many more seasonal programs.

On-campus events

Student Life, in collaboration with the Student Programming Board (SPB), organizes a variety of events throughout the semester, including Music Night, Ramadan Iftar and Trivia, and many others. SPB plays an active role in selecting and voting on the activities offered each semester to ensure they reflect student interests and enhance campus life. Students who are interested in joining SPB can apply by visiting the Student Life Office during the posted office hours announced in the Weekly Bulletin.

Off-campus trips

Off campus, students take part in Kingdom Exploration, which highlights outdoor experiences across Saudi Arabia, or join recreational trips such as arcade nights, trampoline parks, karting excursions, and other group outings.

Campus Connect

Campus Connect is the central platform for student engagement at KAUST. All Student Life and SPB-led activities are posted on Campus Connect, where students can browse upcoming events, review details, and register easily for programs throughout the semester.

Registration periods are communicated in advance so students can prepare and secure their spot. For trips with high demand, students may be eligible to attend only once per semester to ensure fair access. Some activities, like the popular Prize Patrol, do not require registration and are open for all students to enjoy spontaneously.

In addition to Student Life events, other Student Affairs offices also use Campus Connect to promote their programs. This includes the Student Counseling Services Office (SCS), the English Language and Communication Program (ELCP), and recognized student organizations. Their workshops, trainings, social activities, and special events are all accessible through the same platform.

Student Weekly Bulletin

The Student Weekly Bulletin is published throughout the academic semesters and serves as a centralized source for important updates. It features upcoming events and activities, key notices from Student Life, and information from other campus offices about programs, opportunities, and services available to students.

The Bulletin helps students stay informed and engaged, ensuring they never miss out on new initiatives, registration windows, or campus happenings. Students are encouraged to check it weekly to stay up to date.
