Biography
Compassionate Care for a Healthier Mind
Welcome! I am Dr. Irfan Anjum, a chartered and licensed clinical psychologist with a passion for helping individuals navigate life's challenges and discover their true potential. With over 20 years of experience, I specialize in a range of therapeutic approaches tailored to meet the unique needs of my clients.
My journey into psychology began with a curiosity about the human mind and a desire to make a meaningful impact on people's lives. After earning my Doctor of Clinical Psychology from the University of Manchester, I dedicated myself to continuous learning and growth, ensuring that I bring the most effective and evidence-based practices to my clients.
I believe in a holistic approach to mental health, considering the unique blend of experiences, emotions, and thoughts that make each person who they are. My therapeutic style is warm, empathetic, and collaborative, creating a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Together, we will work towards understanding your challenges, identifying your strengths, and developing strategies to achieve your goals.
My specialties include
- Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Reattributing negative thought patterns to improve emotional well-being.
- Psychodynamic Interpersonal Therapy (PIT): Understanding and managing interpersonal relationships to reduce conflict and distress.
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT): Promoting emotional well-being through present-moment awareness.
- Relationship Counseling: Enhancing communication and connection in personal and professional relationships.
When I'm not in the office, you might find me enjoying time with my family and friends, exploring new places, or occasionally at the gym. I believe in the importance of balance and self-care, and I strive to bring that same energy into my practice.
