Dr Anas Sarhan
Biography
Dr. Anas Abdulaziz Sarhan is a distinguished psychiatrist and academic leader currently serving as a Visiting Consultant of Psychiatry at KAUST Health. He holds the position of Head of the Department of Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, Alqunfudah, Umm Al Qura University, where he also previously led the Community Medicine and Health Care Department and served as Vice Dean of Higher Education and Research.
Dr. Sarhan earned his MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) from Umm Al Qura University in 2007, followed by a Diplôme d’Etudes Spécialisées (DES) in Psychiatry from the University of Strasbourg, France, in 2015. He completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Strasbourg (2010–2015
His academic roles include serving as an Assistant Professor at Umm Al Qura University (Makkah campus), head of the psychiatry module for fifth-year students, member of the academic collaboration agreement with University College London (UCL), and academic supervisor for medical students.
Dr. Sarhan is fluent in Arabic, English, and French and is recognized for his leadership in medical education, commitment to research, and dedication to advancing psychiatric care in Saudi Arabia
